  Brilliant!!! After a throughly disappointing experience in the neighbouring Homebase, Wickes was a breathe of fresh air. They had a brilliant range of stock and were extremely helpful. The store layout is good and their new kitchen section is very inspirational. Good value too.

  If what you’re after is on offer and you’re willing to get it with no assistance, go. If not expect to pay a premium and be greeted by incompetent staff who do not know plasterboard from insulation. Be made to feel a nuisance not a customer, wait ages in an ironically run down building for a ‘home improvement store’
